This page explains how cancellations, amendments, and refunds typically work for cruise and related travel arrangements made through Gemipi. The exact terms that apply to your booking are those of the cruise line (and any other suppliers) and are confirmed in writing before you pay.
Gemipi acts as an agent. The cruise line’s booking conditions govern deposits, final payments, cancellation scales, and refunds. We explain those conditions clearly before you confirm and help you navigate them if your plans change.
If you cancel, charges generally depend on how close you are to departure. Typical patterns (examples only — your fare may differ):
Always refer to the specific conditions attached to your booking confirmation.
Name changes, date changes, and cabin changes may be allowed for a fee, or may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking. Rules vary widely by line and fare type. Contact us as early as possible if you need to change something.
Travel insurance is the primary way to protect against cancellation costs arising from illness, injury, or other covered reasons. We strongly recommend that you arrange suitable cover as soon as you pay a deposit.
In most cases our service is remunerated by the cruise line. If we have charged a separate planning fee, its refundability will be stated in the agreement for that fee.
